re-discover an active sex life every year"
"93% of the people we see tell us that we help them make their sexual relationships significantly better."
The Relate Organisation
An active sex life is an enjoyable and important element of a healthy relationship. However, most people encounter sexual problems at some point in their lives.
There are lots of physical and emotional reasons why this can happen, for example stress, tiredness, illness, family and work pressures, even a new baby.
A lot of people find these sexual problems don't last long. Where a problem does last, we can help.
When can we help?
We can help where people are having problems with their sex life sue to physical or emotional reasons. Our sex therapists see lots of people with sexual difficulties like:
- loss of desire
- erectile dysfunction
- premature ejaculation
- pain on intercourse
What happens during sex therapy?
Firstly you will meet with a sex therapist. The therapist will take the time to explore with you what you want to achieve or change in your sexual relationship and what the reasons behind this might be. The therapist will talk to you about the best way forward in your circumstances.
Where we can help, you will have regular sessions with your sex therapist during which you'll be given a programme of exercises to do at home and discuss your progress (you will NEVER be asked to undertake any sexual tasks during a session)
How long will it take?
We deal with every client's situation individually and the length of time therapy takes depends on your circumstances. Sessions are usually weekly and therapists always work at your pace, not to a timetable, so you will never feel rushed or obliged to come back unnecessarily.
